Bernie's Place Homeless Shelter

Bernie's Place is an adult homeless shelter in South Lebanon which provides emergency housing and food for up      to 14 individuals at a time.  Members of Maineville UMC first  began our relationship with them in 2011.  On the first Monday of each month, one of our 5 teams (consisting of 2 people each) provides a meal for the current residents.

On the second Tuesday of each month, our Bible Study group meets at the church at 7:30 pm, then travels to Bernie's Place together to share fellowship and the Gospel.

We also collect items for Bernie's Place based on recommendations from the staff.  Their needs are as follows:

  • Shampoo

  • Toothpaste

  • Toothbrushes

  • Razors

  • Shaving Cream

  • Deodorant

  • Cleaning Supplies (Lysol spray, etc.)

  • Laundry Detergent

  • Small Notebooks

  • Pens

So many members of our church are involved with this outreach project.  We see it as an opportunity to spread the Word by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others.

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
