  • Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study - 9:30 am

  • Sunday Morning Worship Service - 10:45 am

  • Sunday Morning Children's Church - Preschool to 6th Grade (Children are released for class after Special Music.)

 

News & Special Events

  • "The Christmas Story" is the theme for the Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 7 pm.

  • The Ladies Christmas Tea took place Saturday, December 14, from Noon to 2 pm.

  • "One Winter Night" was presented by the choir on Sunday, December 8, at 7 pm.

  • "The Story of Rebekah" (the Ladies Bible Study and Coffee Fellowship) finished in December, and a new study will start on Thursday mornings from 10 am to noon in January. Call Dona for details at 683-1005.

  • The Annual Turkey Dinner and Craft Sale held in November was a big success again this year with great food and lots of craft items for sale!

  • Harvest was the theme for the October Birthday Luncheon.

  • All Church Picnic was held at Testerman Park right after church on September 29.  A good time was had by all! 

  • "The Story of Sarah" followed "The Story of Ruth" in the series of six week studies for the Ladies Bible Study and Coffee Fellowship.

  • The  Ladies' Spring Tea was very well attended with members bringing family members and friends. Stories about our mothers and momentos were shared during the tea.

  • Magic Pie Crust Class was presented by Myrna Sams on Saturday, March 23, from 10 am to noon.  See examples of the results on the side bar!

  • A Valentine's Dinner was hosted by Pastor Steve and Dona on Saturday, February 16, at 6:00 pm.  Members of the congregation were treated to dinner and a movie.

  • The 2019 Member Directory is on the table in the fellowship hall.

 

Donations

  • The mission focus for December/January is the Women's Abuse Shelter.

  • Our October/November mission was the Samaritan Purse Christmas Shoebox.

  • Our August/September mission was to donate to a favorite charity.

  • During the summer, we collected and distributed donations of school supplies for the local schools.

  • Our spring project was to fill Blessing Bags for City Gospel Mission.

  • Our mission for February/March was Matthew 25: Ministries, and the church members filled the whole front corner of the sanctuary with bags of gently used clothing to be distributed to those in need.

  • Donations of children's shoes were taken to the LaCroix New Testament Mission by the Haiti group in January.

  • Donations are always needed for the continuation of the LaCroix Honeybee  Project.  They may be placed in an offering envelope with the memo marked “Honeybee Project.” 

 

Missions

  • Our mission trip to Haiti usually takes place each year in January, but it may be delayed this year due to the unrest in the country! Photos of past trips are posted to our Facebook page.  Visit our page and check them out!

  • We now have four teams to provide meals to Bernie's Place.  We can continue the mission with four, but ideally, we'd like to have one more team.

 

Groups

  • Adult Bible Study meets at the church on most Tuesdays at 7:30 pm and at Bernie’s Place one Tuesday a month.

  • Choir meets every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. for practice.  They have already started on songs for the Christmas Cantata, and new voices are always welcome!

  • Ladies' Bible Study & Coffee Fellowship meets on Thursday mornings at 10 am for a time of sharing and study, along with coffee and sweets!

  • Men's Bible Study also meets on Thursday at 10 am for a study of God's Word.  Yes, they do have some coffee and donuts, too.

  • Busy Bees Craft Group meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month from Noon to 2 pm.

  • Walking Group continues to meet every Friday at Noon in the winter months and 5:00 pm in warm weather.  If you are interested in joining them, they meet in the parking lot prior to their walk.

  • WOW Women's Group goes out to lunch on the 4th Sunday of each month.  All women are welcome and encouraged to participate!

 

Fellowship Meals

  • Birthday Luncheons are held right after the worship service on the 3rd Sunday of the month!  A theme is picked for each meal, and any main or side dish is welcome!

 

Meetings

  • Administrative Council meets in the fellowship hall on the 1st Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

  • Trustees meet in the fellowship hall on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
